I graduated in Fine Arts in Barcelona and went on to work in the cultural sector,as well as teach art in secondary schools. Drawing and painting have always been integral to my life, and eventually, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming an illustrator. I began my journey with a course at l’Escola de la Dona in Barcelona, followed by an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art (Anglia Ruskin University).
In 2016, I was shortlisted for the Macmillan Prize for Illustration, and my first picture book, Refugee: A Family’s Odyssey, was published by La Galera Editorial (Barcelona) in 2017. In 2019, I was selected for the PictureHooks mentoring program, where I had the privilege of being mentored by Sara Ogilvie.
After taking time off to raise my two daughters, I’ve returned to my illustration practice.
I’m passionate about capturing the moments of daily life and the small, meaningful interactions that foster a sense of community. Currently, I am working on two exciting book projects, which I look forward to sharing soon.
